Update
in 2018, we raised $6,305!
To all my friends & family,
Do you wish there was more love and compassion in the world?
That you could turn on the news networks and hear some good news for a change? Like ‘PEACE ON EARTH’ or ‘WORLD HUNGER ENDED’ or maybe even ‘CURE FOR CANCER FOUND’?
Do you want to help make that happen?
Then welcome to the 2018 Pan-Mass Challenge!
Every January, around the time of registration I feel a sense of anxiety about whether I’m going to ride or not. But the PMC has really found its way into my DNA now, and I feel they have become my extended family. I feel privileged to represent all of our loved ones currently affected by cancer and to honor those who have lost their battle.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, the PMC is an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts every first weekend in August. The money raised goes directly to lifesaving research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Since 1980, it has grown to be one of the largest fundraising events in the nation, through the support of committed cyclists, volunteers, and contributors like you.
Some stats for the PMC, to date:
For my 19th PMC, I have made the commitment to raise a minimum of $4,000— but with your continued support and generosity I have no doubt that I will surpass last year’s total of $6,025.
I wish I could share with you the feeling I experience every year as I set out, with thousands of hearts joining together to help those in need. If you forward the names of your loved ones I can add them to my riding jersey and carry them with me. In the meantime thank you for considering this personal request to sponsor my 2018 PMC ride, and God bless you all!
If you would like to sponsor me, please check out my donate page for more information.
Thank you for all of your support, and I will keep you in my heart as I ride for the nineteenth time.
If you have more questions, or would like to talk to me about your experiences, please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
If you’d like more information on the PMC, you can visit my About page, or their website at pmc.org.
