About
The Pan-Mass Challenge raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Since its founding in 1980, PMC cyclists have ridden to raise and contribute over $717 million to the cause. The PMC generates half of the Jimmy Fund's annual revenue and it is Dana-Farber's single largest contributor.
I first became involved with the PMC in 1992, when my mother died from bone cancer. In the past two decades, I have raised over $73,000 in her honor.
In 2014 I received a diagnosis of prostate cancer. I myself am now a patient at Dana Farber, and am Living Proof of the fight we wage against this disease. I see firsthand how committed the staff are to finding a cure.
I am proud to announce that I have pledged to ride my bicycle again in 2020, for the 21st time.
